Join MCT for the return of Heart of the stage: Romance the Night

A Valentine’s Evening of Music, Laughs, and Love Returns to MCT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Marshfield, MO — Marshfield Community Theatre invites audiences to celebrate love and laughter at their second Heart of the Stage: Romance the Night on Saturday, February 14, at 7 PM at MCT Studio M (109 Commercial Street). This Valentine’s-themed event features incredible musical performances, audience fun, and “celebrity” local couples in the return of the not-so-newlywed game.

Love is truly in the air as artists take the stage with songs that capture every side of romance. The evening has something for everyone — whether you’re planning a date night, a Galentine’s celebration, or a special night out with friends.

This year’s musical line-up includes several familiar faces to MCT, along with new performers from the surrounding communities.

“One of the things we love about our Heart of the Stage events is that we usually see at least one new person come out to audition,” said Toni Lorenz, MCT’s Director of Development. “It’s really a testament to what we’ve grown here at MCT that people come from all around to be a part of what we do.”

Performers include:

Heather Hathcock (“Leaving on a Jet Plane”)

Krista Bitting (“So Easy (To Fall In Love)”)

Candi McElveen (“My Heart Will Go On”)

Oliver Floyd (“I’m Just a Sidekick”)

Emilia Riccomini (“Stars and the Moon”)

Harper Phelps (“She’s Always a Woman”)

Teghan Breiner (“Little Miss Perfect”)

Juliana Pyle (“So This Is Love”)

In addition to musical performances, MCT is bringing back the highly acclaimed Not-So Newlywed Game from last year, featuring local couples as they see who knows their partner best.

“This was one of my favorite parts of this event last year,” Lorenz said. “I’m excited about the contestants we have this year…I’m sure it’s going to be fun putting them through their paces!”

The Not-So-Newlywed Game Contestants include:

Ryan & Mandy Huff

Nathan & Arwen Pratt

Robbie & Danielle Boggs

Lorenz continued by talking about the impact of MCT in our community and what she is looking forward to with Romance the Night.

“This event celebrates connection, community, and the joy of shared stories through song and humor,” she said. “I’m glad that we get to offer such a variety of ways for people to attend and be involved with MCT throughout the year.

Tickets for Heart of the Stage: Romance the Night are available now through the MCT website and box office. Audience members of all ages are welcome to enjoy this heartwarming experience. Tickets are limited, so people are encouraged to get them as soon as possible to guarantee their seats.
