Note: We are currently working on a new education class for younger performers that we will share soon. We are working around schedules for productions to make sure we can do the most when we get into class! Stay tuned for more!
Tech Theatre Masterclass

MCT Main Stage
During this class, students age 14 and up will get to learn the ins and outs of lighting and sound design, as well as get hands-on experience using MCT's lighting and sound equipment to gain fundamental knowledge of tech theatre.
Christian Barnard is a seasoned lighting and sound designer with nearly a decade of experience serving theatres across the Springfield area. His talent for crafting immersive soundscapes has earned him two regional awards for sound design. Christian previously served as Technical Director for Marshfield Community Theatre before transitioning into a full-time sound design role with a Springfield theatre company, where he continues to bring stories to life through the power of sound and light. He also works closely with area middle and high schools, partnering with student productions to elevate their technical design and help young theatre programs reach their full potential.
Parent & Child Theatre Class
A once-a-week class for our youngest performers to explore dance, music, acting, and crafts in a fun, creative setting! This free class is an exciting way for your kids to explore different aspects of theatre.
Note: This class is paused for the winter, and we’ll announced its return in the spring soon!
