Heart of the Stage: Cozy Coffeehouse

Event Overview:

Easy-going, feel good favorites. Unwind with Cozy Coffeehouse — an evening filled with feel-good tunes and warm, welcoming vibes. From ballads to easygoing favorites, this laid-back event is the perfect way to relax, recharge, and wrap up the year surrounded by great music and even greater company.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking any musical performances — vocal and instrumental solos, duets, or small group numbers—performing songs that provide an easy, feel-good, and warm vibe.

Some suggestions if you’re still wondering what to prep: We kept things open-ended because we love seeing the creativity our community brings. But, if you need some help in deciding on what to prepare, we’d suggest looking at easy listening songs (jazz, R&B, soft pop, acoustic covers, etc.). Imagine yourself in a local coffee shop and think “What would I love to hear on the speakers while I’m there?”

Special note to singer-songwriters: This is an incredible opportunity to get your music out in front of a local crowd! We’d love to have original works come to the audition room as well.

What to Prepare:

• A musical performance piece

• For musical performances that need accompaniment, bring your audio track as a file (Bluetooth speaker will be available)

Video auditions are welcome! Email your submission to planning@marshfieldtheatre.org by the night of auditions (Oct. 11), and we’ll make sure the panel reviews it. If you have questions about what fits the theme, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help guide you.
