MCT Senior Scholarship

MCT Education Scholarship for Graduating Seniors

The MCT Education Department awards at least one $500 scholarship each year to a high school senior who has been involved with MCT in the past and plans to attend college.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be a graduating high school senior with plans to attend college in the fall of the same year. Students with plans to take time off before college will not be eligible to receive a scholarship.

  • Applicants must be Missouri residents.

  • Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

FAQs

Do I need to be a Marshfield High School Student to apply?

No! Any student residing in Missouri is welcome to apply. Applications are encouraged from all school districts, including homeschooled students.

Who will be reviewing my application?

Our education committee score scholarship applications each year. These individuals are educators and/or theater professionals who play an active role in the overall success, growth, and improvement of MCT Education Department programs.

What are the adjudicators hoping to see from my application?

Our adjudicators are seeking well-rounded individuals whose lives have been impacted by the theater. Discussion of how MCT influenced your future plans and how you plan to give back to your community is encouraged.

I have been involved with MCT for a while, but have never acted on stage. Do I qualify?

Yes! All MCT volunteers are welcome to apply, whether their experience includes performing, technical theater, education classes, or ushering.

Will points be taken off for spelling and grammar errors?

Yes, the adjudicators deduct points for improper grammar, incorrect spelling, and failure to use a professional writing style.

When will the recipient(s) be notified?

All scholarship applicants will be notified of their award status within 60 days of the application deadline.
